From Court to Track

Tale of the tape

2 former internationals
281 hp in the Corsa GSE
5.5 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h
1 challenging course
1 rally professional for the extra lap
lots of driving fun

1 | Two champions, new terrain
Dominik Klein (left) and Steffen Weinhold move from the handball court to the test track in Pachfurth. The two former German national team players are guests at the international driving presentation of the new Corsa GSE.
2 | Fasten your seatbelts
Yellow belts, performance seats – and Dominik Klein at the wheel. The Corsa GSE delivers a max output of 281 hp and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds. It will soon become clear how the masters of the court perform on the track.

“I used to be one of the fastest on the pitch. And I must admit: The Corsa GSE is similarly explosive on the track, it has an incredible acceleration!”

3 | Hit!
They can still play. From a good distance, Weinhold takes aim at the open boot of the Corsa GSE. Spoiler: The ball finds the target. At least in this discipline, there is no need for a round of acclimatisation.
4 | It’s about to start
The two know how to change direction quickly and react at the right moment. Klein was part of the 2007 world championship team, Weinhold helped Germany to the European championship and Olympic bronze. Both played for THW Kiel for many years.
5 | „Unbelievable acceleration“
Accelerating, braking, turning in – Klein is impressed: “I used to be one of the fastest on the court. I must admit: The Corsa GSE is similarly explosive on the track, it has an incredible acceleration!”

“The car has forgiven an extremely large number of mistakes. I have the feeling that everyone has a lot of confidence in the car, even when someone like me is in the cockpit.”

6 | Rally time
From the Corsa GSE to the Mokka GSE Rally: Weinhold changes vehicle and outfit. Like the Corsa GSE, the all-electric rally car has 281 hp – but is designed for competition. And this time, a professional will take the wheel.
7 | Trust is everything
Now the former international is experiencing electric performance from a professional perspective. At the wheel: rally ace Tom Heindrichs. Steffen Weinhold knows trust from handball – in Pachfurth, the term takes on a new dimension.
