The new Opel Astra takes centre stage in Belgrade – a clear highlight of the show.

New Astra Lights the Way at Belgrade Motor Show

The Belgrade Motor Show stands as one of the most prominent automotive events in Southeast Europe, with a tradition spanning over eight decades. Since its beginnings, the event has evolved into a key meeting point for automotive brands, industry professionals, and car enthusiasts alike. Held in the heart of Belgrade, the motor show consistently reflects both global automotive trends and the specific needs of the regional market, combining innovation, design, and performance under one roof.

“A few years ago, people said that motor shows were a thing of the past. The Belgrade Motor Show once again showed that this is not the case. Thanks to our exciting line-up including the new Astra and our rejuvenated SUVs, we saw plenty of interest in our products,” said Dragan Koprivica, CEO of Euroimpex Automotive, General Importer for Opel in Serbia. This year, Opel reaffirmed its strong presence and long-standing connection with customers in Serbia with a clear focus on contemporary mobility while simultaneously highlighting the brand’s commitment to efficiency, technology, and everyday usability.

“The new Astra was, without a doubt, one of the highlights of the show. It symbolises what Opel stands for today.”

A key highlight of Opel’s appearance at this year’s show was the Serbia premiere of the new Opel Astra. Representing a bold step forward in design and engineering, the latest Astra embodies Opel’s modern identity through its bold and pure design, advanced technologies such as the award-winning Intelli-Lux HD technology with over 50,000 elements, and enhanced driving dynamics. With its distinctive front design including the new Opel Vizor and permanently illuminated Opel Blitz emblem along with intuitive interior, the new Astra sets a new benchmark in the compact segment, offering both comfort and innovation tailored to today’s drivers.

“The new Astra was, without a doubt, one of the highlights of the show. It symbolises what Opel stands for today. It is available in both as a five-door hatchback and a flexible Sports Tourer estate. Furthermore, it comes as a battery-electric vehicle, a plug-in hybrid a hybrid with 48-volt technology and as a diesel. This gives the customer the choice of which body style and powertrain is best suited their needs,” said Koprivica.

“Combining the classic motor show attributes with a certain sales approach has reinvigorated the appetite for such shows.”

In addition to showcasing the Astra, Opel also displayed its rejuvenated SUV line-up of the Mokka, the Grandland and the Frontera along with the hugely popular Corsa. Visitors were not only invited to explore the vehicles but could also take advantage of specially designed commercial offers available exclusively during the show. These tailored benefits provide an additional incentive for customers to turn their interest into a concrete purchase decision, making the event an ideal opportunity to join the Opel family under particularly favourable conditions.

“Combining the classic motor show attributes with a certain sales approach has reinvigorated the appetite for such shows. They are now appealing for carmakers and customers alike and I sincerely hope this popularity continues,” added Koprivica.
By combining a rich heritage, forward-looking innovations, and customer-focused offers, Opel’s presence at this year’s Belgrade Motor Show underlined the brand’s dedication to delivering accessible, high-quality mobility solutions. As the automotive industry continues to evolve, Opel remains firmly committed to shaping its future—together with its customers.
